Cotton Candy Machine, the beloved art boutique in Williamsburg, will move from its current location on South 1st St. into a new space off the Morgan L in Bushwick. Opened in 2011 by Tara McPherson and Sean Leonard, the store specializes in original art, art prints, posters, apparel, books and toys by a variety of contemporary and local artists. They also host art shows, events, and signings. On December 23rd, the owners announced the news in a Facebook post, saying:

“We are thrilled to announce ‪#‎TheCottonCandyMachine‬ has a new space! We’re moving to ‪#‎Bushwick‬! It’s just off the Morgan L train stop. It’s going to be a new chapter for us and it will be different but we are excited. We’ll have more info on the new space soon. Thanks for all the love!”

With recent news that Bedford Avenue has the highest retailer rent in Brooklyn, we can only expect to see more shopes moving from Williamsburg to Bushwick. Welcome Cotton Candy Machine!
