As you may know, Bushwick Daily is heading down to SXSW! We’ve already filled you in on our 10 Bands That Will Break Big at the festival this year, provided a how-to guide for fans flocking to Austin, and even put together some  festival fashion recommendations! We won’t feel too far from home in the Lone Star State since we’ll be in the good company; tons of great Bushwick bands will be present, playing their hearts out all across town

It’s getting to that time of the year where great shows are happening every day of the week

There is no doubt that Fan-Tan deserves all that is coming to them

It may seem like quite a while ago at this point but the world’s best indie festival, South By Southwest, was just a few weeks past, March 12-16, and everyone in the music industry will continue to feel its repercussions all year, especially those from Brooklyn! From the bands that made it big to those that seemed to crash and burn, everyone who attended took away some great musical memories, including Bushwick Daily! We had three writers (Danielle Thompson, Ileana Little, and yours truly) hanging out in Austin, snapping instagrams, taking notes, and absorbing everything we heard

We write from a land far away, in Austin, TX, and far too late and far too many free beverages into the night

In case you’re out of the loop, we at Bushwick Daily are huge fans of SXSW and cannot wait to get down to Austin, Texas to check out what’s going on in the tech scene and who’s going to be making headlines in the music portion of the festival

If you’re one of the 200,000 people to descend upon Austin’s city limits to partake in SXSW (and you know how to do it right now), and you want to see some of your favorite Brooklyn/Bushwick bands, you can do so at one of two places – at an official showcase (where festival badges/wristbands ARE required) or at one of the many free shows they will be playing next week
