Trump calls Hochul possibly ‘the worst governor in the history of New York State’ in a tele-rally for Blakeman

"I'll be waiting for his call," Trump said of Blakeman on the 18-minute call Saturday, promising "tremendous help from the federal government" if he wins. In a Siena poll last week, likely voters said 48% to 28% that Trump's endorsement hurt Blakeman.

President Donald Trump urged New Yorkers in a tele-rally Saturday to vote for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman, saying, according to the New York Post, that Gov. Kathy Hochul “may be the worst governor in the history of New York State,” three days before Election Day.

The pitch came as recent polls showed Hochul ahead by 11 to 14 points, the New York Post reported, and as likely voters in a Siena University poll released Wednesday, Oct. 28, said by a 48% to 28% margin that Trump's endorsement had been a negative for Blakeman's campaign.
