Silent Barn has just announced an Aftermath Class series to accompany their Aftermath Supplies art supplies store, yet another example of how prosperous the new DIY music venue and community space is shaping out to be! These classes - which are quite affordable and run every, or every other, Wednesday evening - act as introductions to a whole realm of skills and trades, from bike repairs to drumming!
While I am always waiting with bated breath for the weekend to awaken me from my weekly doldrums, I am especially antsy due to the upcoming deluge of amazing art openings happening in Bushwick this week and next! It may seem like quite a while ago at this point but the world's best indie festival, South By Southwest, was just a few weeks past, March 12-16, and everyone in the music industry will continue to feel its repercussions all year, especially those from Brooklyn! From the bands that made it big to those that seemed to crash and burn, everyone who attended took away some great musical memories, including Bushwick Daily!
