A one-mile timed race through Bushwick on Sunday, September 27, will send all of its registration money to rebuilding the South Bushwick Church, the white clapboard church destroyed by a three-alarm fire on June 19, according to a flyer posted for the event.

The run starts at Maria Hernandez Park on Knickerbocker Avenue and goes off from 7:30 to 9 a.m., the flyer says. It is a closed-street race with no traffic, split into competitive and community waves, so you can run it for a time or just run it. The flyer describes the event as fully sanctioned. You register on the run’s registration page, which the flyer’s QR code opens; the flyer also prints the address www.mmmile.com.
