Mayor Zohran Mamdani planned to join Governor Kathy Hochul for a “Let Them Build” event on Tuesday, February 10, according to the public schedule his press office released for that day. The mayor’s office said the event was scheduled for 10:15 a.m. and was open to the press.

The advisory, distributed for planning purposes only by the New York City Mayor’s Press Office, offered no further detail about the substance of the “Let Them Build” initiative or where the joint appearance would take place. It said media interested in attending had to RSVP to the governor’s executive press office at [email protected].

“Let Them Build” is Hochul’s 2026 State of the State agenda, a package of reforms meant to speed up housing and infrastructure development and lower costs. According to CBS6 Albany, the plan would overhaul the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and cut what her administration calls unnecessary red tape.

The joint appearance with Hochul was one of three items on the mayor’s schedule that day. According to the press office, Mamdani planned to start the morning at 8:30 a.m. by attending New York Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch’s “State of the NYPD” address at Cipriani 42nd Street, an event the office said was open press. At 3:30 p.m., the mayor was set to make an appointment announcement at a cyber center, with footage to be pooled and distributed following the visit, the office said.

The mayor’s office said photos from the day would be available on its Flickr account.
