Brooklyn noise rock and punk band Foreign Body has signed to Brutal Panda Records and released a new single, “Strung Out,” the label announced. The single arrives ahead of the band’s sophomore full-length album, which Brutal Panda said is set for release this year.
“Strung Out” is streaming on YouTube, Bandcamp and other services through the band’s release page at orcd.co/foreignbody-strungout. According to the label, the track was produced, mixed and mastered at STR in San Diego by Matt Ibarra of Rectal Hygienics and recorded at Altered States in Chicago by Matt Russell, who has worked with REZN, Oozing Wound and Big Laugh.
Foreign Body formed in New York City in 2022 and released an EP and a pair of demos before its debut album, “Fixed,” the label said. That record came out on the Malaysian label Menora Recordings in 2023 and was re-released on Reanimated Miscarriage in 2025. Brutal Panda described the band’s sound in deliberately abrasive terms, saying its work has been called both filthy and pure by listeners, and cited the outlet CVLT Nation calling “Fixed” “one of the filthiest, most fucked in the head records of 2023.”
The band played a hometown show March 21 in Brooklyn at The Gutter, according to the announcement.
