A two-tower rental complex is finishing construction on the Greenpoint waterfront. According to New York YIMBY, construction is wrapping up on The Riverie, an 834-unit residential development at 18 India Street along the East River, with the taller of its two towers rising 37 stories and 402 feet.
The project takes up an entire block. New York YIMBY reports it is bounded by India Street to the north, Java Street to the south, West Street to the east, and the India Street pier over the East River to the west, the same pier that carries the NYC Ferry landing.
The Riverie was designed by Marvel Designs and developed and built by Lendlease, with Aware Super listed as joint developer, according to New York YIMBY. INC Architecture & Design handled the interiors for the public areas, and Crème designed the interiors for the complex’s townhouse units.
All 834 units are rentals spread across the two structures. New York YIMBY’s newsletter did not list the unit breakdown or whether any apartments are set aside as affordable housing.
Neither one gave a move-in date, rent range, or amenities list. Rents have not been announced.
