It’s World Cup season once again:

This week, the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off in Russia, with 32 teams vying for the most coveted prize in soccer.

The experience of watching live sports with fellow fans and bitter rivals is not to be missed, but with games being so early not all bars are willing or able to show them this year. Lucky for you, Bushwick Daily put together a list of all the best spots in the neighborhood to catch the games.

We’ve checked around and got the lowdown on the best bars in Bushwick that will be screening world cup games this year!

Get ready to root on your team because this only happens once every four years.

Here’s a list of the 8 bars in Bushwick that will be screening the World Cup!

Sunnyvale (off the Grand Street L train)

1031 Grand St. Brooklyn, NY 11211

Sunnyvale is the first of two venues that will be screening all of the World Cup action. You can check out the full schedule here. According to Sunnyvale’s Facebook, they will also be ratcheting up the competitive vibes by offering free PS4 FIFA play and FIFA tournaments during select games.

Drink Specials include $4 PBRs, $5 Heinekens and $2 Well shots and will be available all day.

The Rookery (off the Jefferson L Train)

425 Troutman St, Brooklyn, NY 11237

The Rookery will have ‘the bells on’ for all games from 10 a.m. on – meaning that you can come here to see the action unfold for all but the very early matches.

The Rookery will be making an exception and opening up early for England’s 8 a.m. match on June 24th.

Drink specials will include $25 beer buckets of Heineken, and a different variety beer bucket for every game.

For early morning games, the Gastropub will have $5 mimosas and $5 10oz Bloodies. They are also offering $2 off frozen Pimms Cup for England games. On June 20 from 4-6 p.m., The Rookery will have free rum punch and their cooks (Jess and Jamal) will be serving up some of their native Caribbean food, free from 4-6 p.m.!

Also, the restaurant will be giving away 40 NYCFC tickets throughout the Cup matches.

*The variety beer buckets are $1 off each beer. So the price will vary from day to day.

Queens Brewery (off the Halsey L train bordering Bushwick)

1539 Covert St., Ridgewood, NY 11385

Queens Brewery will also show all the World Cup Games this year. The Brewery has a coffee shop that opens at 6 a.m. where some games will be played and coffee served and then at 8 a.m. they will start serving booze!

The Brewery will not be charging for entry and will be selling liters of beer for $7 and ½ liters for $4.

Clara’s (in between the Myrtle Ave J and the Jefferson L Train)

53 Wilson Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237

Clara’s is quickly becoming a neighborhood staple, winning Best Wings and Best Burger in Bushwick Daily’s Best of Competition last year.

Clara’s will be open at 8 a.m. from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday the restaurant will be open at 10 a.m., meaning that you’ll be able to catch all but the earliest of games. Clara’s has many televisions and a large projection screen in the bar with plenty of room to get rowdy for your favorite team! More details can be found here.

Syndicated BK (off Morgan L Train)

40 Bogart St, Brooklyn, NY 11206

Syndicated is opening early on select weekends to cover the FIFA World Cup 2018. The theater and bar is teaming up with TAP Air Portugal and Remezcla to kick off the World Cup for opening weekend. They will be opened Friday at 1:30 p.m. and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A limited food menu will be available along with drink specials at the bar.

No cover and no tickets required.

The bar will be updating their website as the tournament progresses with details of which games they will be open early for.

Nowadays (off Halsey Street L Train)

56-06 Cooper Ave., Ridgewood, NY 11385

Nowadays is showing select World Cup matches in their indoor venue with full kitchen and bar.

Families with kids and large groups are always welcome. Dogs are allowed on a leash in the backyard.

Guadalupe Inn (off the Morgan Ave L Train)

The bar & kitchen at Guadalupe Inn opens at 10 a.m. every Friday, Saturday & Sunday for World Cup fans to congregate and catch the action!

Finger Lake Burgers & Wings (off the Myrtle-Broadway JZM Train)

990 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11201

Open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., this restaurant offers ample space to watch games with three large televisions above the bar. The liquor license is still pending, so no drinks on tap, but Finger Lakes is making up for it with their wing special.

Monday through Friday you can grab 50 cent wings at the restaurant which is one of the best prices in the neighborhood.
