One thing all of us opinionated young New Yorkers can agree on: we are not morning people. That means mostly hitting the snooze button again (and again) before scrambling out of bed, skipping the shower, barely scraping to work on time with greasy hair and crabby as grumpy cat. To those coworkers who show up early, refreshed, smiling, and seeming as though they’ve already accomplished quite a lot by 10 am, we say.this Wednesday, we’re joining you! Morning Gloryville, a UK-based “unique early morning pre-work sober rave phenomenon,” is coming to Brooklyn. From 6:30-10:30 am, we will dance off our morning crabbiness in a guided dance party and yoga class with live music, get free massages, power up at the coffee & smoothie bar, and walk out invigorated and ready for work like never before. We hope to see you there!
Morning Glory Experiences is an events company that creates monthly sober early morning dance experiences, entitled “Morning Gloryville ~ Rave Your Way Into the Day! encouraging its community to lead a conscious, joyful and inspired life.” Morning Gloryville UK, an “eye-opening” “best wakeup call ever” was born when Samantha Moyo, an experienced event producer and creative, and Nico Thoemmes, a professional body-worker, came together to create an experience for London city-dwellers that would shift their perceptions of mornings, and clubbing, and increase their wellbeing. This is something that we at Bushwick Daily, who are passionate about both party culture and health and wellness, can definitely get behind!
Join other like-minded folks for a morning of sweaty, community-based fun that will change your morning routine forever! What exactly should you expect?
“On arrival attendees—who are named ‘citizens’— will be welcomed by Morning Gloryville ‘Wake Up Angels’ offering free massages, alongside fresh smoothie and coffee bars, a line-up of world-class DJs, a motivational dance team, and a pumping dance floor. There will also be yoga teachers leading small group classes that attendees can dip into at their will. ‘Dress to sweat’ is the general dress code, but anything goes. Color and fun festival gear is encouraged. The only rules are sobriety and authenticity –allowing for the mask to come off and that raw inner you to be unleashed!”
The first-ever NYC version of the party hits Brooklyn at Williamsburg’s beautiful cafe/workspace kinfolk studios from 6:30 am- 10:30 am. Dropping in whenever you can is encouraged, and so is staying for the whole rave! Tickets are $20 and available here.
