Weekly MTA Update: The Terrible Train Triad

Weekly MTA Update: The Terrible Train Triad
Even M, and J… (photo by Katarina Hybenova for Bushwick Daily)

Looks like the L train will never be “normal” and will continue to confuse us with its really random service changes and interruptions. Plus to make things a bit more complicated the M train AND the J train (not cool, J, not cool) have joined in on the antics and have decided to be complicated as well. Take a look:

M train (M is for Menacing):

The M will not be running at all this weekend, Dec 6-9 (11:45PM Friday to 5AM Monday).

There will be a free shuttle bus running between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle-Wyckoff making all station stops.

L train (L is for Leery):

Monday-Friday days (11AM until 3PM) through December 13, L train service operates every 12 minutes between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Rockaway Pkwy.

The last stop for alternate trains headed toward Rockaway Pkwy is Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.

*Take a Canarsie-bound train or transfer at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs to continue your trip.

And finally the J (so tempted to say J is for Judas, turning its back on us and all):

Weekends 5:45 Saturday to 10PM Sunday until December 15, Jamaica Center-bound trains skip Kosciuszko St, Gates Av, Halsey St and Chauncey St.

For service to these stations, take the J to Broadway Junction and transfer to a Chambers St-bound J

For service from these stations take the J to Myrtle Av. and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J

As usual, check mta.info for any last-minute updates as things always seem to be changing. Happy riding!
