. Take a deep breath, surround yourself with friends, family and, of course, find music that will soothe the aching soul. Here are the top nice shows this week, in our beloved Bushwick and beyond.
The highlight on this bill for us is Crown Larks, a fiesty, noisy psych rock band out of Chicago. Plus, it’s a freaking loft party, and there are special grilled cheese sandwiches. GO!
Can’t get enough of the Dead Stars, as they make me want to rock my flannel and re-pierce my nose. Along with them, my girl crush of 2013 Desert Sharks are rocking with them. Hot girls who shred is a good way to start your weekend. Plus, it’s free!
Drum and bass is alive and well in Brooklyn; Black Sun Empire have an arsenal of tunes, and their Dutch beats don’t let up. This is a must see since they are at the tiny Paper Box. Do not miss this.
Blood Orange was this week’s Bushwick Daily Listening Party artist because we love everything he stands for, and especially his stellar new album, Cupid Deluxe.

Who doesn’t love Ass n Titties? DJ Assault is a legend, and this is the show and event of the weekend for this Bushwick Daily writer. Party crew SHADE is providing the drama by whisking you away via shuttle to an undisclosed location from the city to the secret Brooklyn venue. Detroit vibes all night long.
We celebrate the opening of brand spanking new (and long-awaited) venue Radio Bushwick this Saturday night! O Paradiso will have you charmed and shuffling your feet to his electronic beats and haunting voice.
Bushwick lost three lovely souls this week. In honor of The Yellow Dogs and Ali one must play this song (“This City”) while getting ready this weekend.
