Celestial Shore have been all over Bushwick, New York, Austin and beyond building their fanbase in the past year. Now they’re finally ready to release their first full length album, 10x, which features teaser singles “Swimmer’s Sinking Feeling” and “Valerie.” The new album promises growth and expansion of their sound, which has snaked through several genres over the years, from being dominated by bouts of frantic guitar rock to featuring minimal psychedelic riffs and electronic flourishes. Two things that have always remained: the gentle, falsetto-dipping, dream-coated vocals, and the math-inspired clamoring drums, which bring a totally unique and enveloping rhythm to each song. Look out for these guys- they won’t be playing so many local gigs for much longer. Catch them next week at a number of shows- 8/20 at Pianos, 8/22 at Bushwick Locale Silent Barn, and a few more listed here.
