Ah, pizza. Is there anything more broadly loved on Earth? The cheesy, saucey unifier has few enemies. The only real controversy surrounding the food is: who makes it best?

Pizza is good at all times of the day, every month of the year. Want to grab a hot plain slice as a mid-day snack on a sweltering August afternoon? Sounds delicious. How about ordering a full pepperoni and onion pie to pick up and eat on the roof of your apartment building while watching the sunset during a crisp fall evening? Perfect. I did it this past weekend.

It is no secret that New York is the pizza capital of the country. And with its Italian roots, Bushwick does not have a shortage of beautiful pie shops. Around the neighborhood, fans of Italy’s beloved culinary gift can snag everything from classic NY-style thin crust grab-and-go slices to thick, crunchy, cheesy squares.

Enough basking in pizza’s glory. It is time for nominations!

What is your favorite local spot for pizza?

Any place that serves the food is fair game. I don’t care if you have to sit down eat it or if there isn’t a single seat in the whole restaurant. It doesn’t matter if pizza is the restaurant’s only option or if it is just one of many items on the menu. If you’ve got a favorite pizza spot in or around the neighborhood, nominate it!

So, who serves up the best pizza in the neighborhood? Let us know in the comment section below! Or, email your nomination to the editor: [email protected]

Nominations close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 17.
