Why is it that happy hour drinks always taste better?

Yeah, mostly, it is the money. There is something about a good deal that just makes a beer taste crisper, a shot go down smoother, a mixed drink perfect and a glass of wine taste just right.

But, money isn’t the only factor, people! For a bar or restaurant to have a great happy hour, the atmosphere has to be outstanding. Relaxed vibes, good service, groovy tunes and, most importantly, the right crowd of people can really set a happy hour on top.

Some of the best times I’ve had at bars have been sluggin’ down a couple of happy hour beers with friends on a Saturday afternoon or after a long day at work. I’ll keep my go-to locations a secret. Now is the time for your input!

It is time for nominations!

What is your favorite Bushwick happy hour spot?

Any place that has a happy hour is fair game. I don’t care if it is once per week or 8 hours every day. It doesn’t matter if the happy hour includes pounds of cheap food or if it only applies to beer. To me, it doesn’t make a difference if it is a summer place with all outdoor seating or if it a winter-themed bar without a backyard. If you’ve got a favorite happy hour spot in or around the neighborhood, nominate it!

So, who has the best happy hour in Bushwick? Let us know in the comment section below! Or, email your nomination to the editor: [email protected]

Nominations close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 25.
