Well, the weather still hasn’t given us a break, but that isn’t stopping neighborhood bars and restaurants from opening up their patios, gardens, yards, and other outdoor dining options for the season.

I think it’s pretty fair to say that the vast majority of us have been anxiously awaiting this moment. Last week, I waxed poetic about the benefits of al fresco dining more than enough for you to know that I certainly have been.

There’s just something so comfortable, so carefree, so relaxing about eating and drinking outdoors. It’s romantic and, the exact opposite of putting on your Sunday best to go out for a swanky white tablecloth meal, almost rebellious in ways.

We asked you to nominate the bars and restaurants in Bushwick, East Williamsburg, and Ridgewood with the best patios, and you nominated some of the neighborhoods best spots, including more than one of my personal favorites. I’m excited to see how the voting goes.

But before that, know that our integrity and independence are important to us at Bushwick Daily, we value them very highly. It’s for this reason that we have never taken a payment or bribe of any sort in exchange for nominations or votes, nor will we ever do so. We are proud to say that all votes and nominations in our Best of Bushwick series are 100 percent reader generated.

We can’t stop businesses from telling their customers about their nominations, or from encouraging their customers to vote. We wouldn’t even if we could — we welcome nominees to do exactly that.

That said, every Best of Bushwick poll is monitored closely by humans, and even closer than that by machines, to keep an eye out for spammy, fraud-y, or otherwise unsavory voting.

So, BDers — use the link below to vote below for your favorite patio for Best of Bushwick 2018!

Voting will end at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 24.
