We at Bushwick Daily love Taste of Bushwick. It’s a great way to experience food and drinks from amazing vendors and get familiar with the neighborhood’s best cuisine, while raising money to support local top notch theather via The Bushwick Starr

Earlier this week, we went to Taste of Bushwick’s preview and got a small glimpse of how awesome the main event—on June 13—will be.

Here are just some of the awesome food and drink options you’ll get at Taste of Bushwick:

Owney’s Rum comes from the original distillery The Noble Experiment here in Bushwick. Champion distiller and expert cocktail maker Bridget Firtle mixed up some no-fluff, no-fuss daiquiris for us and all we can say is, “Thank you ma’am, may I have another?”

We also tried a few chemical-free wines from Henry’s Wine and Spirits. We recommend the Correcaminos Rosé.

As for food, beloved Heavy Woods kitchen fave, Tchoup Shop, served up a cajun-inspired shrimp, lime, sprout, and watermelon salad. Talk about refreshing!

Finally, My Sweet served up some awesome Brigadeiros for dessert. They’re a Brazilian delicacy made with sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, and butter. They look like truffles but taste even better.

Of course, these vendors are just a fraction of Taste of Bushwick’s awesome lineup. To buy tickets to the full event in June, visit The Bushwick Starr’s website, and don’t forget to stay up to date on prices and scheduling by visiting The Bushwick Starr’s Facebook page
