A year and a half ago, Bushwick Daily first reported on Sweet & Savory, the healthy food spot set to open at 214 Knickerbocker Ave. directly across from The Three Diamond Door. After multiple setbacks and much anticipation, it looks like an official opening is right around the corner.
Sweet & Savory is an expansion of Molly’s Milk Truck, which was founded in 2010 by Hoda Mahmoodzadegan as a clean eats food and beverage truck in Hoboken, New Jersey. When she first came across the Knickerbocker location, she “loved the fact that it was just a window because it was very much like the concept of [her] truck” Hoda told Bushwick Daily when we chatted back in September.
Earlier this month, the Molly’s Milk Truck Instagram page teased us with a post promising a May opening with an exact date to be revealed before the end of the month. As of right now, it looks like they are about two weeks away!
According to Hoda, we can expect late night eats in the form of “healthy takes on American classics.”
Keep an eye out for the opening! A healthy, fast, and affordable food joint is always a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
