The end of summer is closing in on New York but that doesn’t mean the end of fun events in and around Bushwick. Check out these events throughout Bushwick and Ridgewood this weekend while the warm weather is still around:

Fresh Pond Road Italian Street Festival in Ridgewood

Sat Sept 8 2018 at 2 p.m. to Sun Sept 9, 9 p.m.

This family friendly street festival bring all kinds of fried dough, foods on a stick or wrapped in some sort of batter. The fair also tends to have rides for all age groups including a ferris wheel. This street fair is also a great way to get to a carnival before the end of summer without having to leave the area.

Bushwig at Knockdown Center

Sat Sept 8 2018 from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m./ Sun Sept 9 2018 from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

This fun event features all kinds of drag queens. It’s the perfect way to spend a colorful and musically filled weekend. Don’t let the Maspeth venue discourage you, it’s not very far from Bushwick and Ridgewood. There are buses that go right by Knockdown Center. And the show is definitely worth leaving the immediate area for.
