There is a slight silver lining to the mini weekend L-pocalypse that will lead to the upcoming Canarsie Tunnels shutdown in 2019.
There will be no weekend shutdowns throughout all of September.
None.
Looks like the L is shutting down every weekend in October, February, and most of March (plus a bunch of other weekends) to prep for the *actual* shutdown to "ensure project duration stays within 15 months." pic.twitter.com/e3oket7Gdd

The MTA is sparing North Brooklyn commuters for the end of summer. There’s no over calculating travel every Saturday morning or Friday night when trying to go out.
Though there will be a ton of weekend shutdowns for the rest of fall. So North Brooklyn can’t get too comfortable come October.
