Tomorrow, Bushwick will sit down with family—but leading up to the holiday, Bushwick’s community focused organizations have been working hard to bring festive joy to others.

At Bushwick’s Centers Health Care, each staff member received an apple pie from the company on Tuesday. “The staff here at Bushwick are so genuine,” said Moshe Blackstein, Administrator of the Bushwick Center.  “On behalf of Bushwick Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, I want to express gratitude to our entire staff for their unwavering loyalty, dedication, and hard work. Their work is highly appreciated!”

And earlier today, Churches United for Fair Housing was joined by community members, elected officials and clergy to prepare more than 100 deep fried turkeys to share with North Brooklyn families without stoves.

Tomorrow, Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizen’s Council will serve a free meal to anyone who wants to attend—and throughout the area, precincts, soup kitchens and other organizations dedicated to helping those in need are gearing up for holiday food, clothing and toy drives.

We at Bushwick Daily feel so thankful to share our neighborhood with such caring, devoted people. Happy Thanksgiving, Bushwick!
