Last week, Salud Bar & Grill opened its doors to Bushwick. Only one block from the Chauncey J train station, Salud is serving up Latin-inspired cuisine and atmosphere, along with a selection of traditional American bar fare and a big TV screen for game days. The restaurant is owned an operated by June Ramirez, a longtime barber and resident in Bushwick.
Salud’s current menu consists of a handful of shareable appetizers like fried plantains, yucca fries, and chicken wings. For main courses, choose from fish, meat, salads or the “Salud” burger.
At the moment, Salud only serves soft drinks until their liquor license is approved in the next week or two. We recommend heading over to The Evergreen one block over on Evergreen Ave. for a pre- or post-dinner libation.
