In July we told you about Flushing/Forrest Ave triangle finally opening for public as a restaurant/bar after five years of inactivity and uncertain fate. The co-owners of nearby eatery 983 Bushwick’s Living Room, Mark Trzupek, Darin Rubell and chef David Rotter had taken over the space, and this past weekend they had a soft opening testing cocktails, beers and wines on the menu.
The bar/restaurant is called Forrest Point and the space is nice and spacious with surprisingly tall ceilings. We liked the huge bird cage hanging from the ceiling serving as a chandelier as well as natural materials the owners selected. I am sure that we all will appreciate the lovely outdoor seating and sights of awesome murals Forrest Point offers!
The owners told us that the space will be slowly operating in the upcoming two weeks, during which they will be bringing and testing food from their menu.
Swing by, give it a try or wait for an official review coming up soon!
