Owner Daniel Teran of neighborhood staples such as The Wheelhouse, Millie’s Cuban Cafe and Alberto and Sons, along with his team and partners Nicolas Cox, Ann Lawrence and Ethan Lunkenheimer have officially opened their new bar, Farewell, on Troutman Street this past weekend.

What was originally planned to be a 3,000 square feet dance bar, due to the Covid-19 crisis, has been transitioned temporarily into an outdoor space with crêpes, cocktails, and frozen drinks.

The space, previously occupied by Precious Metal Bar, has been redesigned by Teran, Lunkenheimer, and Ty Tripoli, keeping the original industrial feel and adding elevated chic finishes with animal print decor, housed within an architectural environment inspired by a retro circus theme.

The Farewell team has collaborated with Eric Violino of La Window Crêperie for in-house food and cafe. La Window is a French concept café within the space of Farewell serving coffee, crêpes, and salads.

Crêpe Chief Violino lives in Bushwick, and has a history of working at local establishments. La Window is his first solo venture and the menu featuring a handful of both savory and sweet crêpes does not disappoint. Menu favorites, the Goat Cheese Chicken and Marshmallow Nutella are pictured below.
