Try Food from Bushwick's Kichin and Other Top Restaurants at #EEEEEATSCON

EEEEEATSCON, a food festival from the Infatuation, a restaurant recommendation site, is returning to Forest Hills Stadium October 5-6. The festival will bring a lineup of restaurants from around the city together, including Kichin, a Korean fried chicken pop-up turned Bushwick late-night destination. Kichin had been on the Infatuation’s radar as a pop-up and the team is a fan of their permanent location. Other highlights include a wine room featuring Noble Rot, a top rated London Wine Bar, a special yet-to-be announced collaboration with Shake Shack, and Hot Chicken from Nashville’s Hattie B’s.

This is the fifth iteration of EEEEEATSCON, which launched in Los Angeles in 2017, and debuted last year at Forest Hills Stadium. Tickets get you entry to the festival, where food and drinks are sold separately. We recommend bringing a group to divide and conquer lines, allowing you to try the most vendors possible. Dishes sell out and prices can add up, so it’s always wise to do your research on must tries.

Until July 26, American Express cardholders can score tickets for $15, $30 for everyone else. Tickets will be on sale until they sell out. Tickets sold out to last year’s one day festival, prompting the Infatuation to add another day, giving more people the chance to go.

The event is a “food festival designed like a musical festival,” as Michael Sinatra, VP of Communications at the Infatuation told Bushwick Daily, with performances, celebrity panels (the most recent LA EEEEEATSCON featured Cameron Diaz and Awkwafina) and pop-ups from brands. Programming details will be announced later this summer. The venue’s layout allows for the creation of different areas, including branded speakeasies and room for seating.

The vendors are all informed by the Infatuation’s editorial content, bringing highly rated restaurant options together, including a cubano sandwich vendor from Miami (the Infatuation is launching a Miami site later this year), lobster rolls from Maine, and dishes from Crown Shy in Fi-Di, a new high end restaurant that recently received a 9.1.

“It’s about more than just the five boroughs,” says Sinatra, mentioning Razza Pizza from Jersey City as a highlight (it’s been called the best pizza in New York by critics). The team aims to include a wide range of cuisines, though pizza and burgers are usually the fastest sellers. Forest Hills Stadium is accessible via subway or the Long Island Railroad.
