A number of gift giving holidays are coming up and thankfully, there’s a whole bunch of holiday-themed public markets popping-up around the neighborhood.

And what better way to spend your hard-earned green than buying goodies made by small local businesses?

Here are 11 upcoming winter markets, featuring an array of independent and diverse local vendors that you won’t want to miss:

Femcon Winter Market at Rubulad, RSVP for address (Dec. 16, 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.)

Bushwick Vendors Market has teamed up with Rubulad, the community-based pop-up collective, to bring holiday spirit to Brooklyn — all while supporting female and femme-identifying creators. There will be everything from food and art to literature and jewelry, so make sure you RSVP A-S-A-P.

Gott Market at Gottscheer Hall, 657 Fairview Ave (Dec. 9, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.)

If you’re around Ridgewood, stop by Gottscheer Hall for a cozy holiday brunch special and public market, featuring more than 30 independent and local artisan vendors. On sale this season: vintage items, baked goods, crafts and more.

Social Justice Holiday Market at MaydaySpace, 176 St. Nicholas Ave (Dec. 15, 12 p.m. & Dec 16 at 1 p.m.)

Help support community lead efforts by local artists and vendors who give some of their proceeds to other organizations, or who reflect social justice through their work. You’ll find all kinds of yummy snacks, art, cosmetics and more. 

Holiday Market at Dromedary Urban Tiki Bar, 266 Irving Ave (Dec. 16, 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.)

Find something fabulous, like the perfect bracelet or a pretty skirt, from vintage-inspired local shops while you sip on tasty tiki beverages at this Bushwick establishment.

Humboldt Holiday Market at FourFiveSix, 490 Humboldt St (Saturdays and Sundays until Dec. 23, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

With brunch, live music, and shopping to boot, this holiday market seems to have everything your heart could desire. You’ll find original art and handmade gifts from local sellers, so stop by any weekend through Dec. 23.

Prism Market at And Yoga, 449 Nostrand Ave (Dec. 22, 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.)

Come “vibe with your tribe” while the libations flow at this carefully curated pop-up holiday event. The yoga studio will play host to 10 small business vendors offering beauty, apparel, and jewelry, perfect for your inevitable last-minute holiday shopping.

Remezcla Winter Market at Remezcla HQ, 203 Moore St. (Dec. 8 & 9, 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.)

Immerse yourself in a variety of Latino cultures at the Remezcla Winter Market this holiday season. The pop-up market will feature more than 30 local Latino-owned businesses, in addition to a handful of workshops and a holiday photo booth that you can peruse as you sip coquitos and move to some classic cumbia beats.

Ridgewood Market’s Outdoor Holiday Market at Nowadays, 56-06 Cooper Ave (Dec. 8, Dec. 15, Dec. 22, 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.)

Ridgewood Market is teaming up with Nowadays to put on a weekly “winter wonderland” gathering in the restaurant’s backyard, featuring a list of local food and gift vendors. The market, which happens every Saturday starting Dec. 8, will also have hot beverages, a yurt, and a sauna (that’s right) on-site.

Sugar x Spice Holiday Makers Market at Brooklyn Bazaar, 150 Greenpoint Ave (Dec. 16, 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.)

After the success of last year’s market, this Brooklyn holiday event is back with a sweet list of 30+ independent vendors selling handmade goods. Come by for the etsy-esque accessories, art, and trinkets, and stay for the swag bags and cocktail bar (it’s cash only!).  

Vegan Holiday Shop Up at Pine Box Rock Shop, 12 Grattan St. (Dec. 1, 12 p.m.-5 p.m. 21+)

Non-meat eaters rejoice: Vegan Shop Up, the city’s annual all-vegan pop up market, will be running once every month from December through May next year. The market’s first event of the season will be hosted by Pine Box Rock Shop, where visitors can grab a drink and scout out delicious vegan treats and merchandise. Check the pop-up’s website for its next locations.

Winter Holiday Market at Extra Fancy, 302 Metropolitan Ave (Dec. 9, 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.)

Located in the heart of Williamsburg, the holiday edition of Su’juk’s indoor market is all about fun with tarot readings, music, photo booths, spiked cider (yes!) and more than 24 local independent sellers. Feast your eyes on fashionable clothing, jewelry, home decor, beauty products, and crafts.
