Summer Jara

Summer Jara is a current student at Brooklyn Emerging Leaders Academy, an all-girls charter high school located in the Bed-Stuy area, and a summer intern at the Bushwick Daily. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of her high school newspaper, The Hive, which has allowed Summer to deepen her experience in journalism. Summer enjoys writing about cultural topics, local events, and politics.
