This weekend, Bushwick residents are invited to ring in the summer at the Avant Gardner’s inaugural event for Bushwick Salsa.

Bushwick salsa is a free community event organized by Juan Carlos Escobar, the community consultant of Avant Gardner, who partnered up the large-scale venue with the Bushwick community to bring events that represent the neighborhood’s rich history. “Bushwick Salsa is a new music series designed to bring together the diverse cultures and vibrancy of Bushwick residents. The evening will celebrate music, dance, and community— unifying anyone looking for a beautiful night out in the neighborhood,” he said.

A lineup of local and international artists from across Latin America such as Tito Puente Jr, Soundboy Cartagena, and Orquesta La Jara are one of many musicians set to perform.

This summertime event is hosted in the breathtaking outdoor venue, Brooklyn Mirage. Guests will be able to enjoy the live musical performances while catching a view of Manhattan at the four-story observatory or dance under the stars surrounded by thousands of tropical plants with access to five full-service liquor bars.

Whether you’re from Latin America or from Brooklyn, Bushwick Salsa is an authentic Latin experience that is guaranteed to celebrate Bushwick’s diverse roots.

¡Vamos a bailar!

Bushwick Salsa will take place on Sunday, June 3rd at Brooklyn Mirage on 140 Stewart Avenue, off the Jefferson stop on the L line. Residents of all ages are invited to enjoy with no cover charge. RSVP at EventBrite or Facebook.
