We hope you enjoyed the summer pop-up raves under the palm trees in East Williamsburg’s make-shift Hollywood club Brooklyn Mirage (99 Scott Ave). Because this baby is not coming back, reported today Brooklyn Paper.

Following a number of noise complaints from the neighbors over the summer, Community Board 1, didn’t want to hear about issuing a liquor license to basically any project in place of the infamous Brooklyn Mirage, operated by City Fox, and owned by Reynard Productions who also own a restaurant at Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg.

However, we’re beyond thrilled to report that the wizardly chefs behind Bunker Vietnamese, a restaurant at a modest industrial corner at 46-63 Metropolitan Ave, Maspeth, managed to prove that they are worth the trust of the community as well as the Board members, and will be opening the second location of Bunker Vietnamese at 99 Scott Ave.

The owners had to vehemently prove (and probably swear on their legendary chicken pho) that they will not organize any late night/early morning ragers, and in fact are planning only a modest operation with an outdoor patio serving what we know as the most delicious Vietnamese food in town!

Despite Bunker Vietnamese being located relatively off the beaten track (think Western Beef and roaring trucks), the tiny restaurant in Maspeth, has been regularly crowded forcing its patrons to wait at least 30 minutes to be seated. Second location with an easier access will be literally a Godsent!

We can also expect a winery in the same, recently crowdfunded building, which is owned by Bushwhack Capital. The winery was subjected to a similar grilling but has eventually received a blessing from CB 1 in a form of liquor license back in August.

Bushwick Capital assured the board that the loud days of the building are over and that they plan to develop creative offices and an event hall to host wedding receptions.

“Are you sure you want three entrees [for two]?” Quite the schelp to get out here, but totally worth the journey! I daresay this was the best dill catfish I’ve had outside of Vietnam. Be ready to see a lot more of me @bunkervietnamese! #toothsometravels   A photo posted by Toothsome Travels ???????????? (@toothsometravels) on Oct 14, 2015 at 7:07pm PDT
