Last month, we brought you news of a brand-spanking-new indoor space opening at Nowadays, the popular outdoor bar on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood.

We thought Indoors at Nowadays, as it’s known, was a done deal —  signed, sealed, and delivered to excited revelers in the neighborhood. As far as we knew, Nowadays had birthed Bushwick and Ridgewood a boozy baby that we’d love until our livers ran out of enzymes. We got their press package, contacted their people, and wrote a post heralding the birth of this new bar.

Looking back on it, what we really told you in December was that Nowadays was having a “soft opening,” an entrepreneurial tactic that allows businesses to slowly, cautiously spread the word of their new enterprise.

We know that the “soft opening” is a public relations double-dip, but dammit we just have to tell you this: the “official” grand opening of Indoors at Nowadays happens this Thursday, Jan. 18, after which they will be open “full time and year-round.”

Indoors at Nowadays is, we repeat, a restaurant, bar, and communal dining room at 56-06 Cooper Avenue off the Halsey stop on the L train. The space turns into a dance floor on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. They’ve got a planetarium, too.

We’re not going to list the deets in a pretty restaurant profile again here, but check out our past article for the goods.
