Bushwick bikers, 2015 is starting on a high note! NYC DOT is kickstarting a community planning initiative to develop a network of bike lanes to serve Bushwick.  In partnership with Community Board 4, Council Members Reynoso and Espinal, and the Department of City Planning, they are now collecting information from folks who live and work in the neighborhood.

“We know that cycling has a long history in Bushwick. From the recreational riders in the Schwinn Club to those who commute for work, many Bushwick residents are choosing to move around by bike. There are also many people who ride because they have no other choice–it is the most convenient and cheapest option,” emailed us NYC DOT Bicycle Program representative, Inbar Kishoni.

So do you already see yourself swisshhing down a new beautiful bike like in Bushwick rather sooner than later? Fill out NYC DOT online survey (in English and Spanish) here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BushwickBikes and share it with your biker friends as well!
