Cocoon Provides Community and Coworking Options in Spacious Bushwick Loft

Cocoon, a coworking and community event space, has opened at 49 Wyckoff Ave. in Bushwick. Just steps away from the Jefferson L train stop, this spacious converted loft offers private and communal workspaces for freelancers and office workforces alike in addition to events with Covid-mindful precautions in place to support health and safety for all. To kick off the new year, Cocoon is offering two months free when you sign up for a 12 month membership before the end of January.

This will be Cocoon’s first of two sites in Brooklyn. It’s second site, which is located in Williamsburg off of the Bedford L train stop, is scheduled to open later this year.

Cocoon’s Bushwick location occupies a newly renovated loft, complete with sun-splashed windows, an airy layout and thoughtfully curated decor. Ample natural light brings the outdoors in, along with lushly curated plants and murals of nature in each room. A wall of windows beside the kitchen gives way to a covered patio, an inviting area to relax and refresh oneself in the sun. With a sweeping grand table as the central focus, a cozy-yet-modern lounge area and a full kitchen with free coffee and tea, Cocoon brings new meaning to what a coworking space can be.

With multiple memberships to choose from, Cocoon offers plenty of options custom-tailored to your workspace needs. A Privacy Pod monthly membership offers a personal room that can accommodate between one and six people, depending on the size of your workforce. A Designated Desk or Floating Desk membership will sit you in the communal area, making mingling with other regulars a part of your daily work ritual.

If you need a break from working at home amongst roommates but don’t want to commit to a full membership, a Cocoon day pass is a solid option for getting away from it all, without the commitment. Amenities include a full-time receptionist, mail room, conference rooms, phone booths, game room and high-speed internet. Plus, you’ll have at your disposal a plethora of snack and beverage options in the kitchen.

Not just a coworking space, Cocoon serves as a place to gather, to build resources and community in a myriad of ways. In 2021, Cocoon worked with Bushwick Open Studios to curate Essential Music & Art Show, a collaborative communal event featuring local visual artists, a VR exhibit and live music. Monthly wine and beer tastings at Cocoon allow members to strengthen their gustatory skills together. A game room encourages taking the time to unwind and connect with others. Periodic networking events open to Cocoon members allow for a creative exchange of ideas.

While Cocoon serves as a hub for all things collaborative, it takes a pandemic-ready approach that keeps the space clean and safe for everyone. Cocoon’s Bushwick location is designed with safety in mind, frequently sanitized and laid out in a way that optimizes the ability to socially distance. Cocoon also offers masks, special air purification measures and workspace flexibility that prioritizes a healthy environment for all.

Like its name implies, Cocoon is a supportive place for you to work and grow, helping you to emerge feeling transformed for the better.
