Iconic Vietnamese Eatery Bunker Reopens Tomorrow in Bushwick

It’s no secret that the flavors of Bunker’s Vietnamese are out of this world delicious.

If you never had a chance to schlep out to the restaurant’s tiny location on Metropolitan Avenue next to Western Beef, you really missed out. But fortunately the wait for the newer, bigger, and exponentially more convenient location at 99 Scott Ave. in Bushwick is finally over! Bunker Bushwick reopens this Thursday, January 5.

Owner Jimmy Tu and head chef Jeremy Culver promise a larger menu focused on even more authentic flavors, and an outdoor patio to open in the spring to soak up those first post-winter rays of sun.

The opening comes a little over a month later than the original planned date of November 29, but we’re happy to see the restaurant gearing up for another great year.

Fingers crossed that the papaya salad is still on the menu! Stay tuned for a full review with photos!
