Calling all Khaleesis and Wildlings! A three-eyed raven is flying into Bushwick! Well, not literally, because that would simply be amazing (also the sign of the apocalypse??). But, you can get your hands on a little Game Of Thrones action on April 1st, at The Rookery!
The Rookery will be hosting the Brooklyn launch of Brewery Ommegang’s newest GOT beer, aptly named Three-Eyed Raven Dark Saison. As the Facebook event claims, the beer is inspired by the “HBO drama and the mysterious old man fused to the roots of a Weirwood Tree beyond the wall.” The great thing about this event? You don’t have to be Bran Stark to experience the raven – this event is open to all!
Ommegang reached out to The Rookery not only because it’s one of the coolest Brooklyn bars, but because of the ambience as well. “They liked the vibe here, as The Rookery can feel like a bit of a fortress with our walled garden and beer hall feel,” told us Jamie Schmitz of The Rook.
The Three-Eyed Raven will be served as draught beer, so don’t fret about buying a whole bottle! The beers will be sold for $7 during the event.
Along with the tasting, a super rad Westeros version of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” will be played. Schmitz says there’s going to be a 65-bracket game of “Boulders, Dragon, and Sword,” which you can sign up for after purchasing the ale. The winner will receive a GOT hoodie along with some other swag. Also, if you didn’t win your round, there might be a chance to compete for some runner up goodies. “Should be a fun night, drinking some really great beer and doing battle with your fellow drinkers,” says Schmitz.
So come on down with your Jon Snow curls, or Cersei Lannister attitude, to try this ultra exclusive beer from 6-10pm!
If you’re not a GOT fan and wish to visit The Rookery on this night, the bar will totally be open as usual. And if you can’t make it, the ale will be distributed nationwide on April 6th, so keep your eyes peeled!
