Wayne & Sons has officially opened in Greenpoint, the neighborhood newsletter Greenpointers reported in its January 23 edition.
Greenpointers flagged the opening at the top of its weekly roundup, suggesting readers head over to the new business before an expected weekend snowstorm. The newsletter did not provide an address, hours or further detail about the establishment in the item announcing the opening.
The debut landed in a week of churn for Greenpoint’s commercial corridor, according to the same newsletter. Greenpointers reported that Gotham Burger Social Club was wrapping up its residency at Threes Brewing, that the team behind The Meat Hook and Cozy Royale planned to open a spot called Peek Inn in the former Fin du Monde space, and that Brooklyn Denim Co. had closed. The newsletter also reported that the bar Macri Park announced its closure without citing a reason and, it said, without giving staff proper notice.
Greenpointers did not specify a cuisine or concept for Wayne & Sons in the announcement. Bushwick Daily could not independently confirm additional details about the opening as of publication.
