Join forces with local witches to hex Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh this Saturday night at Catland.
The Bushwick based “metaphysical shop and event space” set up a Facebook event that has already been covered by a number of outlets including Patch and Broadly.
Co-owner Dakota Bracciale recently spoke to The Guardian and explained that this weekend’s ceremony will include graveyard dirt, coffin nails and effigies. The hexing ritual is being held as a protest of Kavanaugh’s recent confirmation to the Supreme Court despite being accused by several women of sexual assault.
According to the event Facebook description, the event will be held at Catland on Flushing Avenue at 7 p.m. The event not only aims to hex Kavanaugh, but also “upon all rapists and the patriarchy at large which emboldens, rewards and protects them.”
Tickets to the event can be found here and cost $10.
25 percent of proceeds will go to the Ali Forney Center, an organization that helps homeless LGBTQ+ youth and another 25 precent will go to Planned Parenthood.
