We’re psyched to report that affordable housing in Bushwick is not only some kind of a myth. Alongside newly developed luxury condos, we sometimes get to report that there actually is affordable housing available in Bushwick.

Two newly constructed units at 1223 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY (off Kosciuszko Street J train stop) are currently accepting applications through NYC Housing Connect.

Unfortunately they have literally only two units: one 1-bedroom apartment for $925/month and one 2-bedroom for $1,040. To apply fill out an application online, or request a paper application by sending a postcard or self-addressed envelope to Why Again LLC, 245 Wilson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11237. The deadline to apply is February 12, 2015. And remember, you can send only one application per development!

Guys, if you decide to research available affordable housing more, beware that there are plenty of scam websites out there.
