Pinch yourself! Because it is THE time of the year. Today we hit the official beginning of the summer, and you can tell. The weather is gorgeous, people are happy, and wonderful parties are happening all around town. Rooftop party? Colorful rave? Pop up concert? We’re here to tell you all about it!

#1 It’s SUMMERxTime @ 252 Norman St. Roof (SAT 1-10PM)

David Teller from BirdDog Promo has just announced a free rooftop music showcase. You can’t do much better than that on a Saturday afternoon/night in Bushwick. Check out bands: Dead Stars, The Novel Ideas, The Teen Age, Samuel Cooper, Phantom Power. There will be pork sliders (70lbs of ’em!), and celebrity appearances made by guest bartenders of Pearls, Tandem & Roberta’s.

#2 Collections Opening Party @ 16A Wilson Ave (SUN 5-10PM)

We kinda really fell in love with the new, vintage boutique at 16A Wilson. The owner Lucy Ann has awesome taste and we appreciate that her collections are affordable. She has invited all the Bushwick Daily readers to an opening party, which will feature shopping, drinks, jams, and good friends.

#3 Huge Block Party @ Silent Barn (FRI 11AM-7PM)

Kinda strange timing for a huge block party with Silent Barn but if you’re around today until 7PM, make sure to drop by. They have a bunch of bands playing, street art and video projectors installed.

#4 Dizzy Land // Saturday Night Cartoons // Gay Pride Edition @ Spectrum (SAT 11PM-5AM, $10)

A huge, crazy party is going down on Saturday night at Spectrum off Montrose. Don’t hesitate to dress to impress (whatever that means to you) and enjoy music, performance, Worm as a host and more!

#5 Naked in Public (Monthly Dance Party) @ Over the Eight (FRI 10PM, free.99)

You probably already know party collective Brooklyn Wildlife and their crazy naked dance parties. Another one of this kind is happening tonight in Williamsburg. Dance music will be spun by Cry Baby and Keith Edward, with visuals by Chris Carr. They will be dancing till they drop (naked).
