With imported sand, palm trees galore, and 90 degree sunny skies, the Full Moon Fest could have been anywhere but Bushwick. Yet Brooklynites reveled in their good fortune at the aptly-named Brooklyn Mirage, where on Saturday the Full Moon Fest went down.
The crowds came out for the fifth annual Full Moon Fest
From 3PM in the afternoon until the wee hours of Sunday, festival-goers partied to the tunes of 15 bands and DJs including RÜFÜS DU SOL, Tensnake, and Yelle. While temps stayed balmy throughout the night, there were several ways to cool down – either with a gin-infused popsicle or by escaping to one of two indoor oases.
While resembling more of an all-night rager than traditional music fest, MATTE projects brought out all the stops to make this festival memorable including DIY facepainting, tarot reading, photobooth station, and even a happy little drone soaring above the sea of people.
