Brr! It’s cold…
With the exception of that weird heat wave we had a couple weeks ago, it has been a long, cold winter. And it looks like everybody’s favorite weather-forecasting rodent was right: There’s no sign of Old Man Winter loosening his icy grip on New York.
That means we’re all probably craving something warm. Rich and warm. Tasty, rich, and warm. For most people, that means soup. For many of those soup people, there are few varieties as tasty and rich and warm as ramen.
In the midst of this never-ending winter, Bushwick Daily wants to know who dishes out the best ramen in Bushwick, East Williamsburg, and Ridgewood.
But first, a guideline: let’s keep the nominations to ramen. We love pho, we love tom yum and other Thai soups, and there are a huge variety of other broth- and noodle-based Asian dishes. We love all of these things, but they are not ramen.
Next, a note on ramen. There are a number of varieties of ramen other than the pork-based tonkotsu version that most of us think of first. We will accept nominations for any ramen variety. Tonkotsu or shoyu, pork-based or chicken, brothy or saucy, hot or cold, traditionally or experimentally topped — they are all fair game.
So, Bushwick — where is your absolute favorite place to dig into a delicious bowl of ramen? Who should be the winner of this installment of our Best of Bushwick series? Dip your spoons into the comment section below and let us know!
Nominations will close on Thursday, Mar. 15 at 11:59 pm.
