Tula, East Williamsburg’s plant and design studio, will host a brunch this Sunday, Feb. 26 as part of its “8 Guests” series where attendees can eat a multi-course meal with owners Christan Summers and Ivan Martinez prepared by a local chef or restaurant.
The third installment in the “8 Guests” series will feature a brunch prepared by Erin Kanagy-Loux, Executive Pastry Chef and Michelle Palazzo, the Pastry Sous Chef of Reynard at The Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg.
Each of the courses sounds delectable with a good-looking balance of sweet and savory dishes such as a whole grain English muffin with butter whey, soft yolk, and crispy ham followed by sesame meringue with oro blanco and cocoa espuma.
It may seem odd that a plant shop would host a meal in its verdant confines, but Christan Summers told Bushwick Daily that the idea came to them when they realized they wanted to “support a healthy lifestyle by bringing community together over good food and green life.”
“8 Guests,” Sunday, Feb. 26. 11:30 a.m. pastry platter, 12 p.m. brunch. $85 per person. Tickets can be purchased here.
