Start getting ready to bust out your best threads, local couturiers and lookbook acolytes: Rising fashion capital Bushwick and long time style bastion Paris will share the spotlight at an upcoming expo scheduled during New York’s Spring 2017 Fashion Week this September.
The Bushwick Paris Fashion Week Trade Expo will take over the Brooklyn Expo Center at 72 Noble Street between West Street and Franklin Street in Greenpoint right in the middle of Fashion Week, starting with a 9am kickoff on Friday, September 9th and running through Monday, September 12th at 6pm.
Registration for participating designers is currently open for the event, which is billed as “New York’s newest fashion week hub for emerging fashion and accessories designers.”
To ensure that the glamorous expo serves a higher purpose than just providing another scene for industry hobnobbing, the organizers have made it a benefit for the New York City chapter of the grant making org the American Cultural Exchange Foundation for Children.
Additional details about the event, including the list of featured designers are forthcoming, so stay tuned for more.
The rest of the upcoming New York Fashion week officially starts on Wednesday, September 7th and wraps on Thursday, September 15th, though plenty of events will doubtlessly bleed into the days before and after.
Bushwick will likely play host to its fair share of events throughout Fashion Week—the neighborhood has been a favorite locale for exclusive, celebrity-filled warehouse after parties in recent years.
Will any of the flawlessly attired Bushwick denizens who have popped up in recent Bushwick Daily street style stories take center stage during the internationally observed week of fashion proceedings? Only time can tell—but we’ll be keeping our eyes out for you, Bushwick trendsetters!
