NY Fashion Week may be ending on Thursday, September 17 but it will be going on through Friday right here in Bushwick!

Brooklyn-based music and culture blog, Alt Citizen‘s brick and mortar space, Alt Space, is putting on its own version of Fashion Week – appropriately named “Fashun Tweek.” Fashun Tweek is the official showcase for futuristic streetwear and experimental design featuring five up-and-coming designers chosen by Alt Space to show their new collections. Designers include Unite Jahnkoy, SAGA NYC, Something Happening, Sext Pixels, and Lactic Incorporated.

Fashun Tweek, however, is not a run-of-the-mill, cut-and-dry catwalk experience though – attendees can expect playful and dramatic showcases that will incorporate anything from choreography to live drum performances. Pieces from each designers’ collections will also be available for purchase right in Alt Space.

Remaining presentations will take place at Alt Space from 6:00pm 9:00pm today, tomorrow and Friday. There will be an open bar provided by Deep Eddy Vodka and Tiger Beer, along with an array of non-alcoholic beverages from Turmeric Temple and Runa Tea and snacks by Kettle Brand. So ditch taking the train all the way into the city and instead enjoy some fashion right on our side of the bridge!

Fashion Tweek, 6-9PM through Friday at Alt Space, 41 Montrose Ave, East Williamsburg. Free admission.
