Bushwick’s Beloved Neighborhood Vet Is Getting Tech-Savvy Upgrades—and a New Location!

Clients of The Neighborhood Vet (located at 1162 Greene Avenue) will be delighted by some updates Bushwick’s beloved neighborhood veterinarian is in the process of making. Much needed changes are coming soon to the office’s operations, which are intended to streamline communications between the office and the pet owning public— and a new brick and mortar location is in the works in the neighborhood near Dekalb and Broadway!

The Neighborhood Vet now offers a $15 email consultation for already established clients, and in the near feature, pet owners will be able to email videos and pictures of their pets, potentially saving a client from a house call and its corresponding expenses. They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, right? Perhaps this will prove especially true when it comes to diagnosing your little furball (The Neighborhood Vet is currently reachable by text via the office landline, but photos and videos are not compatible with the current line).

Despite the potential for the text option to become very popular, Dr. Natara L. Loose DVM, DACVECC ensures all messages will be answered within a day (she requests that her clients include their full names as well as their pet’s name if you choose this avenue of communication)!

Lastly, an additional veterinarian will be hired to run the office’s new location, effectively doubling the level of personalized care that the Neighborhood Vet offers.

This means there will be another pair of hands to complement Dr. Loose’s work, which will mean an “increase [in] the amount of surgical procedures possible per week, ability to hospitalize patients, see urgent/ emergency appointments during the day, and provide last minute vaccination check ups and travel examinations.”

To compliment their strides towards transparency and efficiency, Dr. Loose and the the team at The Neighborhood Vet encourage and welcome feedback about their upgrades from their clients.

Raise a glass to a thriving neighborhood institution—especially one which aims to help the four legged denizens of the neighborhood thrive as well!
