Artisan Indie, a craft commerce community, will be hosting its fourth annual Flourish Fusion conference for creatives seeking comprehensive guidance on how to sell their products successfully. The conference will take place from June 22 to June 23 at the Bushwick/Bed-Stuy location of BKLYN Commons, a coworking and event space, replete with Instagramable decor. Artisan Indie CEO Sarah Sewell thinks the artistic setting will be inspirational for the crafters as they learn how to build their businesses.

Selling “doesn’t have to be a fearful experience,” says Sewell, who ran an Etsy shop for six years. “Our goal for this conference is demystifying the anxiety around selling.” Not only does Sewell want the attendees not to fear selling their products, she wants them to feel good about the process and the overall service they provide their customers.

On Saturday, attendees will form breakout groups for personalized sessions, focusing on topics like how to craft elevator pitches. On Sunday, they will participate in various workshops. Along with Sewell, 12 speakers will lead the small group sessions and workshops. The speakers have years of experience in their respective fields and industries, which include copywriting, wholesale buying and selling, selling on Amazon and Shopify, and product photography.

One of the most important lessons that Sewell hopes attendees will learn from the conference is to have a positive, growth-oriented mindset. “If you have that growth mindset, you will have success in your business no matter what you do,” says Sewell.
