A decadent tasting combo will be on offer at East Williamsburg joint The Well tonight, when LES institution Prohibition Bakery teams up with the house to present a tasting menu comprised of their signature boozy cupcakes paired with locally sourced craft beers.

The unorthodox combo will include pairings such as the “Pretzels & Beer,” (a Six Point Sweet Action Ale, Nutella, pretzel and white truffle cupcake paired with Thirsty Dog brewery’s “Wulver” beer) and the “Car Bomb,” (a cupcake made with stout, whiskey, Bailey’s, and chocolate paired with Dieu du Ciel’s “Péché Mortel,” among many other options.

Tonight’s event is an iteration of the recurring cupcakes and beer pairing event, which The Well’s Aaron Raposo tells Bushwick Daily will be happening monthly at the East Williamsburg bar, public house and performance space.

Another monthly tasting event at The Well pairs house beers with “pie pops,” which are savory pies served on a stick made by local bakers Pie Corps. Raposo says The Well hopes to introduce additional tasting events soon for a total of 4 monthly tasting events, one for each week of the month.

The tasting starts at 7 and runs until 10pm, and cupcakes are $2 each or $9 for all 5, with the beer pairing flight priced at $10 for the set of 20 ounce pours. The Well is located at 272 Meserole Street—make sure you eat dinner before you head over!
