Have you checked out Divine yet? If not, you should. With 16 beers on tap, an ever changing cocktail list, a daily 1-7PM happy hour, a pool table, UFC and NFL subscriptions as well as exciting new brunch and dinner menus, Divine bar is Bushwick’s premiere up-and-coming sports bar and beer garden, conveniently located just off the Myrtle JMZ stop.

“The crowd is very community-based,” told us head bartender, Alex Bell. “It’s got a real neighborhood vibe and is the kind of place where it’s easy to make friends and lose track of time.”

New renovations have brought TV screens, fresh paint, a pool table, and a fresh selection of beers to Divine!

As soon as you open the door to Divine, you’ll notice that the atmosphere is indeed warm and friendly. Customers mill about, gossiping with each other and the bartenders, shooting pool, taking in a game on one of the many TV screens set around the space, or are simply enjoying one of Divine’s 16 draft options. Plus, they’ve got a full food menu that includes mouth-watering tacos, quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, as well as the popular Divine Burger, served on garlic bread with chipotle aioli, for customers looking to wet not only their whistles but also their appetites.

Lets not forget about the New York City brunch tradition. Divine has set out to create a new weekend brunch prix fixe menu at a competitive $13.95. This contains an entrée of choice, that much needed morning coffee, a side dish and a complimentary mimosa or bloody mary to cure that hangover.

The bar’s been around for a few years with various owners, but the current owners are constantly improving the space with renovations, according to Bell. “It was time for a facelift and to really make the space ours. We wanted to bring in a larger beer selection, an expanded food menu, some new paint, and a great backyard while keeping the space chill and unpretentious. We’re proud of how it turned out and excited for people to check it out!”

Enjoy a pint or a cocktail in the backyard, all while chowing down on some of Divine’s great food!

While the interior offers sports bar decor, with dark colored walls and a rich, wooden counter, the real jewel of these renovations is the backyard beer garden where customers can sit on picnic tables under thick umbrellas and enjoy a cool summer breeze. But don’t worry, they also have cold, cold AC for those ‘I can’t even deal’ humid days. The backyard space also features a large brick wall upon which Bell and the owners hope to host a rotating mural where local artists can apply to paint a different backdrop each month.

When in doubt, order the bar’s signature Divine Burger, with chipotle aioli.
