A raging fire in Bushwick killed two siblings near the corner of Central Avenue and Schaefer Street.

The two siblings Payton Gomez, 7, and Haley Harris, 8, are from Brownsville and were visiting their grandfather in the neighborhood this past weekend.

According to a report in Eyewitness News ABC7, both children were rushed to Wyckoff Hospital where they were pronounced dead. Three other adults in the building were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The fire was under control in an hour and the cause has yet to be found and medical examiners are working towards determining the cause of death for both Gomez and Harris, according to Patch
