Dance the Night Away to Help Benefit Brooklyn Children's Art Nonprofit

MUSE

The summer may be winding down (noooo) but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. Today, August 20th from 6pm-12am at Lot 45 nonprofit initiative Walk of Art, in conjunction with In Good Company DJ collective, will present Muse: a celebration of art, music and more. The party will also help raise money for Brooklyn-based nonprofit Walk of Art Kids.

Walk of Art Kids is a nonprofit that works with schools, civic groups, and various community organizations to help New York City children of all ages experience a hands-on arts education. Walk of Art Kids generally works with financially challenged communities, most specifically Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, East New York, Crown Heights, Brownsville and Williamsburg, that would otherwise have little access to the arts due to artless school curriculums. Through Walk of Art’s workshops, children are not only exposed to art and the creative process, but are also introduced to many inspiring artists, some of who may even reside in the children's own community.

Muse will include a silent art auction featuring many celebrated artists such as Lexi BellaShiro One, MarthaliciaSeeone, Mike Perry, and more. There will also be live painting and DJs providing beats throughout the evening. For more information, email richard (at) walkofartnyc (dot) org or RSVP here.

Lot 45 is located at 411 Troutman Street, Bushwick.
