Over 400 people attended last Saturday's #BUSHWICKLOVE party and a fundraiser for the 108 Lives Project. And thanks to the generosity of everyone in attendance, the charity organization's plan to fund a medical clinic for remote villages in Nepal can officially become a reality this October 2015.

The party was a blast, with lots of chocolate and dancing, and as summed up by 108 Lives Project founder Hector Marcel:

“The incredible thing is that in just five hours of pure joy, dancing and partying, Bushwickers literally generated enough medicines, doctors and skilled hands to treat over 600 people in the remote hills of the himalayas this October.”

Yes, Bushwick, you should be proud!

The donations of partygoers are not the only contributions to be grateful for, though. Over 20 local Bushwick businesses gave to the cause by donating $1,600 worth of raffle prizes. Plus, three talented DJS, as well as aerialists, contributed their talents to make the night an event worth going to.

It's a powerful reminder that when the people of Bushwick come together, we can accomplish wonderful things.

And of course there were tons of chocolate from Fine & Raw.

Chocolate: a key to success for any party.

Missed the fun? Don't worry. You can still donate to the 108 Lives Project online and buy raffle tickets to win a free trip to Nepal to volunteer with 108 Lives this October (available at Little Skips in Bushwick and the Three Jewels Outreach Center in Manhattan).

The final drawing for the trip will be held at the next 108 Lives Project fundraiser on Memorial Day, May 24 this spring. Don't miss out on this opportunity to support a great cause and maybe win an incredible, life-changing experience.
